At RiverKidz, we are inspired by Jesus’ heart for children and His desire for them to know Him personally. We believe kids are not just the church of tomorrow, but they are an important part of the church today. That’s why our mission is to partner with parents in helping children grow into fearless, joyful disciples of Jesus, transformed by the power of God. Through engaging teaching, meaningful relationships, and plenty of fun, we help kids discover who Jesus is and learn the truth of Scripture in a way that sticks.

We know that caring for little ones can sometimes mean stepping away during the service, and we want you to feel completely comfortable and supported. Our Nursing Mother’s Room is a quiet, private space available for moms or parents who need a moment with their young child, while still staying connected to what’s happening in the service. With a live stream available in the room, you won’t miss a thing—we’re simply glad you’re here and want to make it as easy as possible for you to be part of our church family.

Our Nursery is a warm, safe, and loving space created especially for our youngest children, from infants through age 2. We know how important it is to feel confident leaving your little one, and our caring team is dedicated to providing gentle, attentive care while creating a peaceful environment for them to rest, play, and be comforted. While you’re in service, you can have peace of mind knowing your child is in good hands and surrounded by love.

Our Preschool Ministry is a safe, fun, and nurturing environment designed especially for children ages 3–5, where your little ones can begin to learn about God’s love in a way that’s just right for them. Through engaging stories, music, play, and caring leaders, we help preschoolers build a strong foundation of faith while having a great time. We’re honored to partner with you during these early years and can’t wait to welcome your child!

Our Elementary Ministry, designed for kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade, is a fun and engaging environment where children can grow in their understanding of who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him. Through dynamic teaching, interactive activities, and meaningful relationships built through small groups, we help kids build a strong foundation of faith and encourage them to live it out in their everyday lives. It’s a place where they can have fun, make friends, and discover just how much God loves them!

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is the most fun week of the year, and we can’t wait for your kids to be part of it! VBS is a high-energy, engaging week filled with games, music, creative lessons, and meaningful friendships, all centered on helping kids encounter Jesus and grow in their faith. This year, join us July 28–31 for “Seekers Castle,” a medieval adventure where kids will discover what it means to seek the Kingdom of God, inspired by Matthew 6:33. It’s a week they won’t want to miss!

What does a typical RiverKidz service look like?
Each week, your child will learn about who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him in their everyday life. Through engaging Bible stories, small groups, and hands-on activities, we focus on helping kids understand the truth of Scripture in a way that is fun, memorable, and age-appropriate. When you arrive, infants through preschoolers can be dropped off in their rooms before service or at any time during the service if needed. Our Kindergarten–5th grade students begin in the sanctuary with their families for worship and are then dismissed to their RiverKidz environment for the rest of the service.
What can I expect on our first visit?
When you arrive, one of our team members will be ready to welcome you, help you check your child in, and answer any questions you may have. We’ll make sure you and your child feel comfortable, show you where to go, and help make it a smooth and positive first experience.
Are there any resources available for parents?
Yes! We love partnering with parents and want to support you beyond Sunday mornings. We provide take-home resources after every Sunday reviewing what your kids learned, weekly email updates, and occasional tools to help you continue conversations about what your child is learning throughout the week. We have also made a parent digital safety guide to help you navigate the digital world, which can be accessed here.
What should my child wear?
Kids can come dressed comfortably and ready to have fun! Whether that’s play clothes or their favorite outfit, we want them to feel relaxed and able to fully participate in all activities.
How do you ensure my child’s safety?
Your child’s safety is a top priority for us. All of our leaders are carefully screened and trained, and we use a secure check-in and check-out system to ensure that every child is cared for and released safely.
How can I get involved or serve in RiverKidz?
We would love for you to be part of what God is doing in RiverKidz! There are opportunities to serve in a variety of ways, from teaching kids, leading games and small groups, running media, and more. Complete our volunteer interest form and we will help you find the right fit.
Do you do any special events throughout the year?
Absolutely! Throughout the year, we host a variety of fun and meaningful events for kids and families to enjoy together. Some favorites include our Parent’s Night Out (a big hit with both kids and parents!), pool parties, Vacation Bible School (VBS), and our annual Harvest Fest. These events are a great way for kids to build friendships, make lasting memories, and stay connected outside of Sunday mornings—and there’s always more to look forward to!
Will my child receive candy?
Short answer… yes! Each week, we’ll have candy or small treats as part of games and rewards, plus your child will receive a piece just for coming. It’s never the main focus, but it definitely adds to the fun! We also do our best to be mindful of allergies and preferences, so feel free to let us know if your child has any specific needs when you check in.
