Small Groups

Current Study: "Control"

If you are a middle or high school student, we would love for you to join us from 6-8PM on Thursday nights as we gather in a smaller setting. You can expect a fun game, caring leaders, and conversations on topics important to your life. We believe that transformation happens when we gather in small groups and seek Jesus together.

Check out this trailer for the study we're currently working through titled "Control" by DA Horton. DA is a pastor in California with a passion for young people. He brings some powerful ideas to the topic of control and authority in our lives.

Youth Service

Current Series: "What Changed?"

Every Sunday morning, our youth are encouraged to begin the worship service with their families. After the worship set, middle and high school students are dismissed to the Youth Center to hear a message from Pastor Nick. This message is prepared intentionally for young people to speak transformation into the lives of teenagers. Students can expect a free cup of coffee, time to meet new people, a 15-20 minute talk, and

15 minutes of small group discussion.

Currently, we are in a series titled "What Changed?" In this series, we look at the Christmas story and see how Christ's birth changed everything for everyone involved--including us.

Calendar of Events

12/20 - Parents' Night Out

In order to raise more money to support our Winter Retreat to the Edge Conference, Grace River Youth will be hosting a Parents' Night Out. From 6:00-9:00PM on Friday, December 20, parents can drop off their children for a fun night of games and a movie while they enjoy a night out alone. All proceeds to cover the cost of childcare will go directly towards our trip to Gatlinburg in January.

1/5 - Parent & Student Meeting

On Sunday, January 5, immediately following the 10AM worship service, we will be having a parent & student meeting in the youth room. At this meeting, we will give important information about the Winter Retreat, Summer camp, what small groups will look like in 2020, as well as giving out calendars of 2020 with all of our planned events.

1/5 - 2/2 - Souper Bowl Canned Food Drive

Throughout the month of January, Grace River Youth will be sponsoring a canned food drive to support the Judeo-Christian Outreach Center's food pantry. The JCOC's food bank services those experiencing hunger and homelessness in the City of Virignia Beach. We are excited to partner with the JCOC as we work together to serve those in need in our community.

1/18-20 - The Edge Conference

On Saturday, January 18, we will be loading up and head to Gatlinburg, TN for the Edge Conference--an intimate, Gospel-centered worship and teaching experience that will point our students towards a loving relationship with Jesus. All students in 6-12th grade are welcome to attend. Registration for this retreat is closed. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Nick at

2/2 - Souper Bowl Flag Football Game

On Sunday, February 2, our canned food drive for the Judeo-Christian Outreach Center will culminate with a tailgate party and a youth vs. adult flag football game. The game will immediatly follow the 10AM service. All church members are invited to attend and bring a pot luck dish to share. To join a team, click the link below.
